Dear Cedar and Oak Families, Thank you all so much for making Grandparents Day such a wonderful and memorable event. Our “Stone Soup” celebration was a wonderful time to work collaboratively and then enjoy the fruits of our labor. The secret ingredient for the luncheon was sharing.   Dear Families, The children have had an exciting month of October at Children’s Tree Montessori School. The apple picking field trip was a great way for school and family to come together and explore the orchard on such a beautiful day. The children in Oak and Cedar then enjoyed dissecting and learning the parts of a pumpkin and apple. Dear Oak Families, This week we will ccontinue learning about color mixing. We will be experimenting with colorful carnations. Please make sure that your child has gloves, boots and snow pants to be able to play in the snow. Children without snow clothing can play on the sidewalk. Spring has finally sprung and we welcomed our new season with butterflies we have been watching transform in our classroom. In April we learned about the butterfly life cycle and the parts of the butterfly. We sang “head, thorax, abdomen” to learn the parts of the butterfly and acted out the life cycle using yoga poses.
