The Willow Room is bustling this fall!
The students planned and made all of the arrangements for a trip to Lucky 33 in Old Saybrook. There, we mined for gemstones and found some really beautiful specimens. Everyone went home with a large bag of rocks and minerals. We also went to Dinosaur State Park, where we had a picnic lunch and went for a nature walk. Inside, we explored the museum, marveled at real dinosaur footprints, and enjoyed the activities in the discovery room.
Our oldest students are planning for a trip to the Montessori Model U.N. in Italy this spring. Please help them raise money by bringing pennies and other currency for our jar, as well as cans and bottles that can be redeemed. You can also take advantage of one of our babysitting events so you can do your holiday shopping.
The Willow Room loved making food for the Stone Soup lunch. We hope you enjoyed some of the 12 loaves of zucchini bread we made, as well as the cranberry sauce. It was wonderful spending time with our many visitors!
The Maritime Education Network brought us a new addition for our salt water tank. We now have an adorable northern puffer fish. He’s a lot of fun!
