Dear Willow families,
The Willow Class is excited to welcome our two newest members, a male and a female baby chinchilla! Every day we use a balance scale to weigh the kits. They have each gained about 25 grams so far. We have created a line graph to track their growth.
April 13th is Scrabble Day! We are planning a day of Scrabble fun. If you have a Scrabble game, or Scrabble Junior game that we could borrow for the day, please bring it in to the Willow Class.
Our regular trips to the Acton Library are a highlight in our schedule. Thank you to Tamara Sevigny, Nicole Atwood, and Brigitta Jensen, who have made themselves available to drive us there! Our next library trip will be next.
The week after spring break we will celebrate Earth Day by completing some outdoor projects. The Willow Class will clean and set up our outdoor classroom, start some planting, and scrape and paint the boat, bench, and gate on the playground. We are looking for volunteers to help us with these projects. We are collecting 2 liter soda bottles to create a wall garden. We are also looking for plants and seeds, both flowers and fruits and vegetables, to plant in our gardens. Your child should wear clothes and shoes that can get dirty, apply sunscreen in the morning, and bring gardening gloves if desired.
Have a great month,
