Dear Toddler Families,
This month we are working on our waiting and watching skills when another friend is using a work that we want to use. We are making progress with our grace and courtesy skills. This helps build a peaceful community within the classroom.
For the month of March we are bringing green paint and green paper into the classroom to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. On Wednesday, March 2nd, we are celebrating Dr. Seuss’s birthday with special green eggs and ham for snack. We will be reading Dr. Seuss books and talking about our own birthdays.
Miss Catherine will be baking with the children on Mondays or Wednesdays, and Miss YoonJu will be bringing in different types of artwork weekly. We will be experimenting with salad spinner drip paintings.
Since spring will be here soon, the children are working on flower arrangements in the classroom. Any flower donations will be greatly appreciated. We are also talking about fruits and vegetables, like the ones found in our lunches. If there is a fruit or a vegetable that your child finds exciting at home, they are welcome to bring one into school for us to observe, discuss, and even sample!
Our early childhood consultant Catherine will present the first in a series of toddler parent workshops on Monday, March 7th, 5:30 – 7:30 on toileting. Learn how to best support your child through this process. Light dinner and childcare are provided. Please r.s.v.p. at the office.
