Happy fall everyone!
The month of October was busy and exciting!
The primary children enjoyed some great introductory geography lessons with landforms and parts of the earth being a big focus. We have been learning all about the calendar and the seasons. The children have begun to study the different continents on the world map and have really been enjoying it. Perhaps your child has been sharing the months of the year song and perhaps the continent song?
Currently our North America studies continue; we have been learning about the animals and different regions of our continent. As November continues we are celebrating fall with pumpkin pounding in the classrooms. We are also toasting and spreading pumpkin and apple butter for some delicious food preparation. We will be dissecting a pumpkin to explore all of its different parts. Very messy and fun!
Thank you so much to everyone who helped make the fall festival so much fun. Now we are looking forward to later this month as we learn about Thanksgiving. We we’ll be working hard to prepare for our Stone Soup celebration toward the end of the month. Thank you in advance for all who help make it so special.
Have a blessed Thanksgiving. We at The Children’s Tree are so thankful for you and the privilege of working with your precious children.
