Dear CTMS Families,
It has been an amazing start to our school year upstairs in Primary! We have spent the first month of school getting to know our teachers and our new friends and we have learned all about our classrooms. We have had many wonderful lessons, we have learned how to have snack, and we have learned many songs and stories during gathering time.
We also had our very first field trip this month to Scott’s Yankee Farmer. We learned all about different types of apples, pumpkins and gourds from Mrs. Scott, we went on a tractor ride, and we each got to take home a gourd or a pumpkin and an apple. Thank you to all of the families that were able to join us and special thanks to the Scotts for their hospitality.
This month we began our study of North America in our cultural area. In science we have been learning all about the planets, the parts of a tree, and the parts of an apple. We even dissected an apple before our field trip. We have also been learning about the human body, what makes things living and nonliving, and about our cardinal directions.
In the month of October we will continue our North America study by learning more about the different people and animals that live in the countries of North America. We will also be studying the parts of the Earth and about different types of plants and animals.
We are so thankful for the wonderful community of families we have been given this year and we hope you all have wonderful Octobers!
