Happy New Year everyone!

Wow, it’s 2017! It’s hard to believe that another year has passed and we embark on a whole new year of learning and adventure.

First off, congratulations to the Carrier family on the birth of their beautiful son. We are especially thrilled for Addy. She will be a great big sister.

primaryDecember was action packed learning about weather and charting it on our calendars. We also studied amphibians and the various holidays that fall during this time of the year.

Our first annual float in the Old Saybrook Torch Light Parade was a big success. Thank you, Thank you to all who worked so hard to build it and to those who came out to march with us. We had so much fun. Mark your calendars with a reminder to join us next year.

Thank you to all who helped out with our Winter Celebration. The children worked so hard to learn the songs and to prepare their yoga moves to share with you. We hope that you enjoyed it.

During the month of January we will be starting a new continent study. We will begin learning about Antarctica. We will also be planning some fun lessons about reptiles and dinosaurs.

Color mixing and diffusion are also on our agenda for this month. We will learn to color mix and try some interesting experiments with light and color.

jennieThank you to Jenny Esty for the wonderful presentation on New Zealand. The children really enjoyed it. Once again we would like to take this time to thank each and every one of you for your love and support as part of our Children’s Tree family and wish you all a happy, healthy, blessed 2017.
