Dear Families,

The children have had an exciting month of October at Children’s Tree Montessori School. The apple picking field trip was a great way for school and family to come together and explore the orchard on such a beautiful day. The children in Oak and Cedar then enjoyed dissecting and learning the parts of a pumpkin and apple. Following the field trip the children prepared apple slices and applesauce as well as pumpkin bread and pumpkin butter during food preparation in their individual classrooms. What a fruitful corner of the world we live in!

The Fall Festival was a success. Thank you to all of the generous donations and contributions!

Thank you to all of the families who came to our second parent education night; The Silent Journey. The children always love choosing works to display to family. Our enrichment Yoga class is underway and the children have enjoyed Yoga with Miss Jen on Wednesdays.

The month of November is here already and the vibrant colors all around us are undeniable! This month the Kindergarten class will be examining and researching the trees and leaves around school as we venture out on Fridays for short nature walks.

Our school wide November Stone Soup celebration is a bit different this year as we have decided to invite grandparents to dine with their grandchildren. This event takes place November 24 and all are invited to stay for lunch. More information such as exact times and food contribution list will be provided by the office. This is always a great way for the children to experience making a cooperative meal to share with their school community.

Please remember to encourage your children to dress warmly as the weather is becoming cooler.

Please remember; hats, gloves and a warm jackets are recommended as we do go outside each day.

We look forward to the exciting community events planned for the month of November and hope that you will join us as we celebrate our spectacular school!

Thank you one and all,

Cedar – Miss Bethany & Miss Marci

Oak – Miss Pam & Miss Kelly
