Parents play a crucial role at The Children’s Tree Montessori School. This is a community of parents and educators (many of whom are parents here too). Few schools are so open and responsive to suggestions and concerns. The Children’s Tree Montessori School strongly encourages families to feel at home and to participate in the broader life of the school through social and educational activities offered by various organizations of the school. Although most parents spend considerable amounts of time as volunteers at The Children’s Tree Montessori School, there is no expectation for a set time commitment. There are some things that even money can’t buy, and one of the most valuable contributions that families make to The Children’s Tree Montessori School is the gift of their time and expertise. Parents, grandparents, and friends of the school are often found helping out in the office, assisting in the classrooms, serving as field trip drivers, offering a Studio, planning the next special event, coaching, or serving on parents’ associations or school committees. Parents and grandparents who give of their time and talent share with their families special memories of experiences and friendships that endure well beyond their children’s graduation.
